Everyone has different opinions on what writing means to them. I believe that writing is one of the best ways to show expression. Many may feel as if writing is a waste of time, however those individuals fail to understand the power writing can have and the affects it could have on an individual. A remix, on the other hand is a revised version of something that already has existence. When an item is revised it is most likely to seem more advanced than the original. The connection that both remixes and writing has is that remixes can be applied to writing. An example of this is when someone is writing an essay. The second draft of the essay will be better than the first draft and the final draft will not only be better than the previous drafts, but will never be final. There is never a final draft because with both writing and remixes there is always room for improvement. Whether someone has to copy from another individual to strengthen their talents or grab ideas from various objects, the outcome will most like be better than the original. My expectation of this course is to learn new things and apply my critical thinking skills to concepts discussed in class. I do not want to sit and not participate in class, but be active and engage in what the class has to offer. My other expectations is to not only grow as a writer, but to also feel fully prepared to analyze and be able to apply the skills I learned in ENC 1002 to any of my future classes. I hope to gain both confidence in my writing and knowledge.
