Writing is a language skill, it is a method of communication
through which signs, symbols, letters, etc. are marked down to communicate
one’s thoughts and ideas. To just name a
few purposes, writing can be used to tell a story, mark down facts and
information, to persuade others or even as a method of personal expression for
some. A remix can be thought of as a transformation of an already
existing work, a way to personalize something that is said to be “original.”
Remixes are done in a variety of ways. They are done in music where certain
artist will take another artist song and change it up or use part of it to add
to their own, they are used in movies and books by maybe making fun of the
already existing work or using that idea but personalizing it to make it
something new.
Throughout this course I expect to learn a lot and be challenged. To find more of
an interest in writing and English in ways that aren’t extremely tedious or
uneventful. I hope to really improve my writing skills, research methods, and comprehension
overall of the English subject.
