My first rough draft for the genealogy project would be to use the cliche of undying first love. Using works of media such as cruel intentions, the fault in our stars, romeo and Juliet and titanic. I will also integrate the way that in all these examples of undying love, the male was the one who died in the relationship and how it was the women who kept the memory of them forever.
My second topic would be the cliche of love over work. Multiple movies have displayed this cliche such as how to lose a guy in 10 days, failure to launch, and hitch. The two movies failure to launch and how to lose a guy in 10 days even share the same leading actor - Matthew McConaughey. These movies also share the same formulaic pattern of girl/boy being hired to help the other boy/girl, the worker falling for their customer, the customer finding out that they were being "fooled" then the two of them ending up together.
My final draft is the use of Shakespeare's novels into movies. Some movies that are based on Shakespeare's plays are 10 things I hate about you, which is based off the Taming of the Shrew, She's the Man, based off Twelfth Night, and the Lion King which is based off the play Hamlet. I can explain how each movie took the initial synopsis of each of Shakespeare's work and added new ideas or plot points to it or how they subtracted some in order to make a film that was related to the basis of the work but also something that could stand on it's own.
