My genealogy has to do with the play Romeo and Juliet, written by Shakespeare, and how even his story wasn't a true original and how it has been transformed into different movies. The first thought I have is that the audience should be people who enjoy plays, because if they do then they must know all about shakespeare. To attend to this group of people, the idea is to write a play that features Shakespeare himself and the things that lead up to him writing Romeo and Juliet. This particular audience would enjoy this because not only is it a play itself, but it is also about one of the most famous play writers.
Secondly, another audience that a remediation of my genealogy can be made to interest can be film enthusiasts. There are people who know everything about certain genres of films, there are people who know everything about the actors and directors, and there are also people who love to collect pieces from films and know everything about movie history. Films can be watched using computers, DVDs, and on VHS tapes. Focusing on the DVDs and VHS tapes, there are always cases the enclose them. My idea is to create a dvd case display including a movie poster-like picture on the front, a synopsis of what the movie is about on the back, and everything else there is on a general DVD case.
Lastly, one other audience could be english professors who focus on literature, and more specifically, study poems. A poem could be written about how a writer stole an idea of a story from another writer and then played it off as their own idea. There would be hints and clues relating the person who stole the idea to being Shakespeare however it would not specifically state that it is based off of him. The facts and idea of him stealing the story would be what the poem is based off of, however it would not be an exact representation and seem like that is what is is about. The person reading would have to notice the clues that relate it to him, which is why this would be written for english professors who study poetry.
